Easy Microwave Milk sweet- Palkova

                                         Happy Mother’s Day

This post is dedicated to my dear Mom ( I call her Ummachi).Right now I am not with my Mom, so I thought of preparing this sweet which I like.

Whatever we ask, she makes it within minutes. Before marriage I never did much cooking as I was scared, “if anything goes wrong”. I used to try any new dishes with the help of my Mom, so that if it doesn’t come out well then she is there to take care. After marriage, my cooking started over phone like “how much chilli powder?, should I add water?, If curd boils then what happens?” all these silly questions I used to ask my Mom as well as my MIL. My Husband used to say that “its an expensive way of cooking” :-)
Right now I am not saying that I am perfect, but I do things on my own. Even then, for something or the other I will be troubling them, but not as much as I used to do before.

Today’s dish is a sweet which I saw in Pavithra’s blog Dishes from my kitchen. She has a wonderful blog. Most of you might know about the blog. This is so easy dish that can be prepared within minutes.

I thought this is a  perfect recipe for mother’s day.

Ingredients:
  1. Condensed Milk- 1tin
  2. Yogurt- 3tbsp
  3. Cardamom Powder- ¼ tsp
  4. Almonds, Pistachios, Cashew nuts (powdered)- 1tbsp

Method:
  1. Pour condensed milk in a microwavable glass bowl. Use a big bowl as it rises when microwaving.
  2. Microwave for 3 minutes, stirring once in every minute.
  3. Now add yogurt. Mix well and microwave for another 4 to 5 minutes, stirring once in every minute.
  4. Take it out and add the cardamom powder. Stir well till everything gets blended together.
  5. Garnish with powdered  nuts. Serve it warm or cold.

I made it in the form of small laddoos, that will be easy for my little one to pick and eat.

Hot and Spicy Chicken 65

Chicken 65 is a spicy, deep fried chicken dish. There are so many varied stories on how this recipe got this name.

This can be easily stocked in refrigerator for a quick dish always. This is served as an appetizer  in parties. There are so many versions of this dish and mine is a dry version without any sauce.

I love to learn different recipes and I learned this recently and I think I can cook this well. This is one of my favourite dishes and is a super hit in my family. This is made with boneless chicken, but I prefer the thigh meat because of its juiciness.

Ingredients:
  1. Chicken- ½ kg
  2. Maida / All purpose flour- 1 ½ tbsp
  3. Cornflour- 1 ½ tbsp
  4. Egg- 1no
  5. Chicken Masala- 1tsp
  6. Garam Masala- 1tsp
  7. Pepper powder- ½ tsp
  8. Red chilli powder- ½ tsp
  9. Ginger and garlic paste- 1tsp
  10. Curd- 2 ½ tbsp
  11. Lemon juice- 1tbsp
  12. Salt- as required
  13. Red Food colour- 1tsp
  14. Oil- deep frying

Method:
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and marinate the chicken and keep it for about3-4 hours in refrigerator.
  2. Heat oil for deep frying and drop the marinated chicken and cook till light golden brown about 6-7 minutes.
  3. When all the chicken is done take it out and drain it on paper towels.
