Very Berry Smoothie

Smoothies are a great choice for breakfast, midday snack or after a workoutThis very berry smoothie is delicious, healthy, and nutritious smoothie which is filled with all your favorite berries. It takes hardly about 5 min to prepare this smoothie.


I make different varieties of smoothies and I like to have it after a nice workout. Sometimes if I am lazy to make breakfast, this will be my savior. My 4 yr old is crazy about the smoothie. Any smoothie you give him,  he will drink it without any fuss.
A  refreshing, delicious smoothie is a tasty way to drink your fruits. This is a basic smoothie recipe and a very healthy and nutritious one. You can add spinach, Greek yogurt, bananas or anything of your choice. Whatever you add, this smoothie will turn out amazingly delicious and healthy. I would always experiment with the ingredients. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, whatever it is, the outcome would be a healthy smoothie.


Ingredients:

  1. Strawberries, Blueberries, raspberries- 1 Cup
  2. Red Currants- a handful
  3. Almond / Soy Milk- 1 Cup
  4. Flax Seeds- 1 tbsp
  5. Chia Seeds- 1/2 tbsp
  6. Dates- 4-5 nos
  7. Hemp seeds- 1 tsp

Method:

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend till smooth desired consistency. Enjoy.

Home Made Easy Granola Recipe with Yogurt- Granola Bowls- A healthy Valentine's Day Gift



This granola recipe is so easy and a simple version, that you can make any time of the day. This is a perfect snack to munch on without thinking about calories. An ideal one to carry to work and to school. This will make an excellent healthy gift for someone special which is homemade and with lots of love and care.


In this granola, we can add chocolate chips, dried berries, a variety of nuts or anything of your choice or eat it plain. it's tasty any of the ways. These are so addictive and delicious that I made 3 batches in the last week. I make this and store them in airtight jars, but we don't know when it gets over as they are so scrumptious and yummy that we simply munch on. Kids will love them for breakfast or as a healthy snack.


I have added these granolas in the Greek yogurt along with blueberry compote and they were heavenly.


Nowadays I am so obsessed with the beautiful, cute pink flowers that have bloomed all over the town. In this valentines season, these flowers are a perfect feast for the eyes. As soon as the winter is over, there won't be any leaves and these cute little flowers will take over the trees. Such a wonderful sight it is, that they fill your hearts and you forget about all your worries. For my food photography, I have used these flowers as a prop along with my favorite granola and they both well blended together. Hope you all like this. try this out and let me know.



Ingredients:
  1. Oats- 4 Cups
  2. Dried Raspberries- 1 cup
  3. Almond - a handful
  4. Cinnamon powder- 1 Tsp
  5. Honey- 1/3 Cup
  6. Coconut Oil- 1/4 Cup
  7. Vanilla Essence- 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Take the oats, dried raspberries, almonds, cinnamon powder in a mixing bowl. Add the honey, coconut oil and vanilla essence in this and mix well using the hand, so that everything gets well blended with each other.
  2. meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spread the above mixture on a baking tray evenly and bake for about 10- 15 minutes. Using a wooden spatula, stir the mixture in between the baking time.
  3. Take it out of the oven and when cool, enjoy along with your favorite yogurt or have it just like that.

Raspberry Cupcakes

During my UK trip last year, I got to eat some of the freshest berries I could get… :-). Here in Bangalore, I am getting only the dry version of these berries so when I went to a supermarket I got this raspberry preserve and grabbed it, so that I could have it whenever I want.


So I thought of baking raspberry cupcakes for my little one as she is a big fan of cupcakes and she likes to eat spoonfuls of this raspberry preserve.

Raspberry cupcakes are simple to make and tastes delicious. This is ideal for parties with its pretty pink frosting. Since this was made at home, I didn’t frost the cupcakes as my little one will be taking them to school. Just try these amazing pink cute cupcakes and I am sure you cannot resist eating one…


Ingredients:
  1. Flour- 1 Cup
  2. Sugar- 1 Cup
  3. Butter- ½ Cup +2 tbsp
  4. Baking Powder- 1 tsp
  5. Salt- a pinch
  6. Eggs- 3 nos
  7. Vanilla Essence- 1 tsp
  8. Milk- ⅓ Cup
  9. Raspberry Preserve / Jam- 4 tbsp
Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Sieve the flour, baking powder and salt trice and keep it aside.
  3. In a glass bowl beat the eggs and vanilla essence till they turn fluffy.
  4. Beat the butter and sugar well till they turn pale in colour. In this add the above beaten egg mixture little by little and mix well with the beater.
  5. Add the raspberry preserve and mix till everything is well incorporated.
  6. In the above batter fold the sieved flour and milk alternately till combined.
  7. Transfer this batter to lined cupcake liners and bake for about 20 minutes.
  8. Yummy and delicious cupcakes are ready to eat anytime.
