Tasty left over rice with Chicken stock cubes

There are days when I feel really lazy and doesn’t want to cook anything. But its not possible “skip cooking” when there is lots of left over rice in the kitchen and no mood to make any curry.
This rice item, which I ate at my friend’s place came as a flash to my mind and I started searching. You might be thinking, what is it that I am seriously searching? “Chicken stock cube” which gives a special taste to rice. I bought this stock cube for some other dish and its been there for some time now in my fridge. This is an easy way to make left over rice tasty. So lets get into the details.

  1. Left over rice- 2cups
  2. Onions (chopped)- 2nos
  3. Garlic (minced)- 1tbsp
  4. Butter- 1tbsp
  5. Chicken stock cubes- 2tsp
  6. Garam masala powder- 1tsp
  7. Oil- 1tbsp
  8. Salt- to taste

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add onions, garlic and saute well till they turn golden brown in colour.
  2. Add the garam masala powder, chicken stock cube powder and mix well. Add butter and salt.
  3. Add rice into the mixture and mix till everything blends well. Cook it in low flame till the rice is well coated with the masala.
  4. Serve it with raita, salad or pickle.
